This is the story of a Footman's daughter and how she came to be. The tale of Alora Barrow and how she would change everything a rare soul born of magic, magic of the sun.

1917 Having been recently relieved from a brutal stint at the front lines, Thomas and a small unit of medics are stationed at a secondary casualty station. Thomas's cynical shell is cracked when a four-year-old girl named Rosie is brought in. The sole survivor of a direct hit on her family home, she has lost both legs below the knee and her parents in a single heartbeat. Major Clarkson, recognizing Thomas's meticulous (if distant) nature, assigns him to her constant care. Initially, Thomas resents the "nanny" work but eventually something shifts. For the first time in his life, Thomas isn't performing for a master or scheming for a promotion; he is simply needed. He uses his "acquired" luxuries-chocolate and extra blankets-to coax her back to life. As Rosie stabilizes, the camp receives a shipment of primitive prosthetic limbs. While the surgeons are busy with the endless stream of dying soldiers, Thomas takes it upon himself to be Rosie's legs. In the quiet hours between bombardments, he teaches her to balance, then to shuffle, and finally to walk. In Rosie's stubborn refusal to give up, Thomas finds a reflection of his own survival instinct-but hers is pure, untainted by the bitterness that has defined him. She becomes the only thing in France that makes him feel like a "good man." Thomas realizes that as a Sergeant, he is bound to the mud until he is either dead or "broken." Desperate to stay with her, or at least be sent back to England where he might find a way to track her down, he looks at the flickering lights of the enemy line. The shot that shatters his hand is his ticket home-and his greatest shame. As he is loaded onto a transport, he catches one last glimpse of Rosie watching from a distance, standing tall on the legs he taught her to use. He leaves behind the only person he has ever truly loved without conditions, carrying a permanent scar that will forever remind him of the cost of his humanity.

Theodore Knighton-Barrow is the godson of Downton's first footman, Thomas Barrow. Growing up at Downton, staying primarily downstairs, of course, is quite the adventure. Dealing with the drama of the people he considers his family, Theodore must find a way to balance this, his school life, and deciding who he wants to be. Along with the man he calls his father and his three best friends, Theodore must discover who he really is, while uncovering truths about the past. - I do not own Downton Abbey of any of its characters. The only characters I have created are Theodore and his friends.

Current Year:1912 The Titanic had just gone out to sea when Her Ladyship, Lady Aurora, has been told that her Birth Parents, Lord and Lady Crawley, have asked for her to come to Downton Abbey, to reunite as a family. Her Foster Parents, Lord and Lady Wright, have agreed to this, having their own daughter finally get the heir while Aurora would be with her real family. Lady Aurora has been told rumors about the Granthams' and Crawleys', except from her Housemaid, Clara. Clara had been there for Aurora when she displeased Lord and Lady Wright, or when her Ex-Fiancé ran away with one of the Housemaid's, or even when she needed a simple hug, Clara was there. Clara was allowed to go with Aurora, just so she didn't need a(n) Housemaid that she was not familiar with, or anyone to mock or dishonor her. Aurora was pleased, and rather overjoyed that Clara got to go with her, not only would she have a friend go with her, but she would have support from back in London. She was also feeling rather Anxious, and Scared, which was what she rarely felt. Aurora was normally calm and certain of meeting new people, or even making amends with them! However, meeting her Birth Parents for once, and trying to live among them, it was rather hard for her to think, let alone, even talk about it. Would they be Nice and Welcoming like Clara spoke, or would they be Cruel and Unkind like everyone else had spoken of? More importantly, did she have any siblings of any kind? Aurora was troubled, and even on her way there, she still had doubts to where she should've agreed to accepting to be their daughter once again. Once she arrived, Aurora felt nervousness hit her as she stepped out, seeing a older man and woman a few feet away from her, the woman reminding her of herself. After being introduced to her Birth Parents and Three sisters, she was introduced to the Staff, whom Clara would be working alongside. Aurora passed by all of them, when she caught the Grey eyes of Thomas Barrow.
