It was really warm and it was soft and sleek when I brushed my hand across it. If you brushed the other way, however, it would catch on your palm and scratch your hand. Suddenly, my pillow moved and groaned. Odd. Pillows don't usually move or groan.

This story is part of my short story collection. Every month me and my friends take turns to come up with a prompt to a story. Some are very short, some a bit longer and some I might turn into a larger story later if I ever find the time for it. This is my entry of April 2025. This story is about a dragon shifter, her kid and a very unfortunate situation.

Glenn, a former special forces elite, is transported to another world and is immediately bitten by a werewolf. In this world where dragons soar, elves chant, and steel and gears rumble, he is branded with the most evil mark. While all werewolves are cursed into bloodthirsty beasts, he manages to wield this power with an iron will, turning the werewolf venom to his own use. However, the more his power swells, the more firmly he adheres to one principle- "My claws can tear demons apart, but my soul will always be human."
