Harry breaks up with Ginny again after the war. Ron and Ginny are pissed at him. Hermione stays neutral, but Harry's got severe PTSD and just wants to leave it all behind. He becomes an Animagus - a beautiful Belgian Malinois. He resolves to never switch back and runs out into the wild for years. Draco Malfoy is done with his year in prison and no magic parole, but he choses not to go back to the wizarding world. He still uses magic, but he works at a muggle bank, drives an auto and has a fully furnished muggle home. Then one day... a Belgian Malinois chases a deer across the road... right in front of Draco's car. Draco saves him and takes him home. Hiliarity ensues with Harry trying to escape and annoy Draco Malfoy. But Draco isn't dumb. He starts to realize that his dog... is way too smart for a dog.

"You know what I think?" Harry leaned across the table. "I think you're afraid. You don't take risks like us Gryffindors." He scoffed. "Please, you Gryffindors are all wand-waving and no spell." Harry grinned, settling back into his seat. "Not me. I always follow through." "Prove it." Harry stood up and walked around the table. He leaned over Draco, one hand no his chair and the other on the table. Their faces were a mere inch apart, so close that Draco could see flecks of brown in his emerald eyes. "I don't see any follow-through," Draco taunted. And then Harry kissed him. Harry's hands fell to his shoulders so quickly that Draco teetered on his seat. Draco reached up and grabbed Harry's shirt in an attempt to catch his balance which resulted in the two boys falling to the ground with Harry on top. Harry's cheeks were red with embarrassment as he tried to get up. All he managed to do was knee Draco in the leg. Draco put his hands on Harry's hips. "Stop. Let me." In one fluid motion, Draco flipped them around so he was kneeling above Harry. "And for future reference," Draco smirked, bringing his lips down to brush against his. "I'm always on top."

Draco is returning to Hogwarts for his 8th year, upon his arrival he gets the surprise of his life. Harry is beyond grateful to go back to Hogwarts. Harry is lost trying to find the 9 3/4 train but instead of encountering Ron's family he crashes against our dear blond Draco Malfoy. After the war, Harry finds out that Dumbledore had decided how his life would be until his death. He also found some heart shattering facts about his so-called best friends. He decided to go back to the time when he had to stand and say that Voldemort was back. He wanted to fix everything and wanted to live the way he wanted. Read to find out what happens. He's always known they didn't really care. After all, who would care about someone like him. Even so, he didn't think they would take things that far. He had overheard them discussing his approaching death. They planned on him dying during his fight with Voldemort, and them taking is fame and fortune. They had already begun draining his vaults. They have been feeding him love potions to make him fall in love with Ginny so she would inherit everything when he died. Dumbledore has put him with the Dursley's in hopes he would be abused and come to Hogwarts eager to please the one who 'saved' him. When he was beaten nearly to death the summer after his fifth year by his uncle, he escaped and went to the house on Spinners End he had heard of only briefly during a conversation with Sirius earlier that year. He knew that the man would be the only one to not report straight back to either Dumbledore, or Voldemort. The man was completely unaware of his true relation to the boy, and he planned to keep it that way. He didn't plan to stick around long anyway, just long enough to get to safety. Things weren't supposed to turn out like this, but things tend to get out of control for the boy who lived, and he didn't know where else to go.
