She was eighteen when her best friend looked her in the eyes and muttered "Mate." His words shattered their childhood friendship, deeming it something more. He could have chosen anyone, there were plenty of others whose auras intrigued him, but he chose to ruin her life. He was the Alpha's son. She was the War Generals daughter. She had drawn and painted every square inch of the pack Territory in fine detail. Her cartography exam was nearing and she knew she'd be selected, no one was better than her. She wanted to travel, not be confined to the walls of Kimberlite. Warrick wanted to rip through the pages of her life, he wanted to rewrite her story. She wasn't going to let him.
