I smirked and stepped closer, invading the little space he had left. Rising onto my toes, I leaned in just enough for my lips to graze near his ear, my hand resting lightly around his neck. His reaction betrayed him. One hand clenched the tablecloth at his side, knuckles tightening. A soft giggle escaped me as I watched his reaction, pulling back just enough to poke his nose. "I'll go and change," I said casually, finally beginning to step away. I barely moved back before his hand caught my waist, pulling me back firmly until I was pressed against his chest. My hand instinctively clutched his sherwani at the shoulder as his hand slid steadily to my back. He tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear. "Why did you stop?" he asked quietly. His fingers traced my cheek as he gently lifted my lehenga's dupatta from my head. It slipped from his grasp and fell to the floor. This time, when his hand returned to my back, it met bare skin. My breath hitched. He leaned in, his lips brushing my ear as his voice dropped to a whisper. "Ab main start karu?" ────୨ৎ────
