Macie hasn't heard from Jake since his last message, and four days later, Lilly, Hannah's sister and the one who framed her and Jake for kidnapping, contacts her to tell her that Jake sent her a message saying that she is the key. Very Slight AU in that the game timeline is extended, and includes conversations between what we see in the games, without negating anything in canon. When MC gets a message from a group of strangers, she gets pulled into the missing Hannah Donfort's life. Can she find her own place in the mystery and retain her own connections, or will she find that she's lost her own life in favor of Hannah's? This story is based on the game Duskwood created by Everbyte Studio. Its the retelling of the events of the game starting from episode 1 but with more fleshed out MC here called Jules. I have tried my best to keep the MC more relatable to everyone so as to not exclude anyone. Hope you still like the story even though MC is more fleshed out. It's my way of thanking the Everbyte team and to connect with the community and give people the feel of playing the game without solving those pesky minigames(jk I understand their importance and I would play them again to flirt with Jake).I am going on this revisit to ease the pain while I wait for the tenth and final episode. For people who have never played I have written it in a way where you will still understand it but I would still recommend playing the game. I hope you all like it!

It has been eight long days since MC (Lia) has heard anything from Jake and her friends from Duskwood. After so many failed attempts to get in contact with anyone and being completely ignored, Lia decided to go to Duskwood herself to see if everyone was alright. To her shock, she sees that her friends including Jake are having a good time without her. Has everything they said to her been a lie? Has Jake only used her as a tool to find Hannah?
