Maidana1779
A quiet AU inspired by Top Gun (1986).
On the outskirts of Duskwood, there is a forgotten shipping container-
and a light aircraft.
Rae (Female MC), a resident of Duskwood, visits the place out of habit.
Jake appears without offering an explanation.
At first, Jake's presence seems to change nothing.
And yet, slowly, it changes everything.
This is an AU about things that should have flown, but remained bound to the ground.
Rusting metal. Unspoken memories.
Questions that were never asked with the expectation of answers.
This story was originally written in Korean, with help from a friend in translation.
English is not my first language, but I have done my best to preserve the tone and atmosphere of the original.
Fluency was never the priority- mood, silence, and restraint were.
This is not a story about fast romance or clear answers.
It leans heavily into atmosphere:
dry heat, a red sun hanging on the horizon,
long distances, and the things that are never quite said out loud.
I've held onto this story for a long time.
It was written quite a while ago, but I still care deeply about it-
which is why I'm sharing it now.
Please note: this is not a fluffy story.
Complete short story.
An extra story is currently in progress.
(And yes-artistic license was definitely taken.
I'm fully aware that planes don't actually work like this đ
