Sequel to What If --- It's been three years since Taylor Brooks moved to New York. She's left her family, her friends, and her ex-boyfriend Thomas Brodie-Sangster behind. But after things don't go according to plan with her life in New York, with her new job and new boyfriend, Taylor comes home to London, to find that things have changed since she left. And things won't be easy to change back.

When a person develops the Flare, their blooming erratic behavior is inspired by parts of themself that they keep hidden to everyone. For Newt, it happens to be something that Thomas can't let go of. So maybe he can't pull the trigger yet.

On the surface,Newton Isaac has everything-a rich family and his future planned out for him. Except it's not a future he wants. Newt is planned to marry a beautiful girl from another 'perfect' family. But Newt dos the want this,he wants the boy he knows from the happy thoughts and the dreams that play over and over inside of his head. He wants Thomas. He knows his family would never accept him for this,and that by telling Thomas he could loose everything. Telling someone you love them can go so many ways... Especially for someone like Newt. This story may include some rude remarks against same sex relationships. It is only for the story. I support same sex relationships but I think that it's important we reflect that sadly some people don't. There may also be some bad language (not too much) and a few sex scenes. Haven't you always wondered how Newt behaved when he arrived at the clearing? How did he feel when he got there? How did he feel all the time leading up to his fall? Read this story if you want to discover Newt's first memories. All characters are by James Dashner, this story is mine A little scene: "Hey Newt." I jumped, startled. I was leaning against the wall of the hut, completely lost in thought, my hands in my pockets and staring out at the clearing. We took a day off today after spending the last 2 days finishing the cabin, starting the fence for the cattle and putting the first bed together. But now Alby was standing in front of me in - underwear? I blinked in irritation. Alby had to laugh. "You're looking at me like a scared puppy. I really just wanted to wash the dust out of my clothes and wanted to know if I should wash yours at the same time." Inwardly, I rolled my eyes at myself. We worked like crazy for three days, sweated and were covered in dust. I myself had already had three sneezing fits today. So it was only logical that Alby wanted to get rid of the dirt. I nodded. "Yes, that would be great, thanks Alby." "Then you have to get out of your clothes or should I wash you at the same time?" the other asked me amused. Just the idea made me blush, which of course didn't go unnoticed by Alby. He burst out laughing and slapped his knees. Now I had to laugh too. It was so easy to like Alby. With his relaxed manner, he always managed to lighten the mood.
