Paragon Exordium is an easy-to-read character-driven fantasy novel that combines classic magical elements with a modern-day setting full of non-stop action, world-building, and high stakes. Humanity is brought to the verge of extinction by The Shattering; an event that heralds the return of the Fae. Survivors must adapt to their new reality while trying to uncover what they can about their new world. A paramilitary organization led by a man with a haunted black sword, a university student with newfound powers, and a recently orphaned boy with a keen eye all struggle to survive. Little do they know, an ancient conspiracy is hidden in the shadows, not yet done with them or the world's newly returned inhabitants.

This is just a piece of dystopian fiction that I wrote a few months back. I entered it in a competition and I'm actually pretty proud of it. Although the word limit was below 4 000 words so I had to rush the ending a bit. It's just a short story but let me know if I should expand on it a little more. I'd love to spend more time with this world.
