This is a poem about social injustice and faint hope. It's born out of the pain of the Lekki massacre that took place on the 20th October 2020 when soldiers on the order of the government shot and killed unarmed citizens who held the flag and sang the national anthem and who were on a peaceful protests. The pain and horror of that day will forever be imprinted on the heart and history of the Nigeria republic.

Her clients were supposed to be 'really old and probably can't get it up' as Kiki described them, but Koko finds herself torn between conflicted feelings for this man who sparked deep want and tenderness in her insides. ********** '𝐀𝐧 𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝, 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫, 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫...𝐀𝐝𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥. 𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐢𝐭.' ********** For Koko, this new life will either save her and her epileptic sister...or destroy what is left of their lives. One thing is for sure, though...it will change her forever.

The African version of ''The Hate You Give.'' The story reminisces police brutality in Nigeria. It captures our pains, loss and the disgusting evidence that lady Justitia has remained without a blindfold for most part of history. I write for everyone. #remembertheirnames
