Writing out my pain of moving away to college and setting a expiration for my love. The transition is hard, the pain is worse. Using this as a method to cope so I don't lose my grasp on reality.

The music faded into the background during dinner. It was Christmas Eve. Clarissa watched as her beautiful child as she ran across the floor being chased by her father. Rosalie was only four and already her big curls were swinging at her hips. Her big sea green eyes looked identical to Eric's. Her nose even resembled his so well that when Clarissa looked at her husband she often called him Rosalie. Eric swooped down and lifted his laughing daughter into the air when they heard a knock on the door. Rosalie immediately quite laughing and looked at me with wondering eyes. "Go to your room Rosalie. Now!" Eric swatted her away. Clarissa followed her.

With their parents gone, their quarantine zone overrun, bandits around every corner, and only three backpacks, two knives and an axe, Dex tries to raise his two baby brothers all alone. When Dex kills a few members of a group called the Martial Law Republic, they begin to hunt the three brothers down. Their only safe haven comes in the form of a town of cannibals with their eyes on Sprite and Ponyboy. Will Dex risk he and his brothers' lives in the wild, hunted by the Martial Law Republic? Or will he spend every waking moment protecting his brothers from lecherous cannibals?

Meanwhile, Billy Mays stops insulting Pierce Brosnan James Bond (as he appears in Rare's 1997 N64 game GoldenEye 007) long enough to ask him an embarrassing favor; GLaDOS' clerical assistant/cleaner/murder expert Ayumu "Osaka" Kasuga races to bury some incriminating bodies; and Andross (as he appears in the original SNES Star Fox/Starwing) makes a new metal friend.

We're supposed to die in year 3000, or so the Society says. We've been living in fear since we could remember. After all, with only 137 days left to live before the Decimation, some wonder what there's left to live for. The Republic's system has lived for nearly 95 years, as it was always intended to. The founders of our Society built our cities as a safe haven for the enigma children. The enigma children were the seven children that survived the plague that killed the human population. They were the only of our race left. But the founders' only mistake was the number of the children they saved, seven, instead of eight. There was always supposed to be eight children, 4 females and 4 males so they could breed equally. But one died before it made it to what we call our Republic now. It died right before the founders did. The sixth child did not survive more than a few days. There was no explanation for its death. Average humans now do not survive past the young age of 19. There is no scientific reasoning behind this; they come over with a sudden death fever, they are murdered or killed or commit suicide. The fear hidden within each and every day of our lives is unbearable. So the founders saved the enigmas in hope of increasing the human population again. They allowed our Society to grow for 95 years as an experiment. We have been watching the years go past, the digital device they left us with count down the day we shall all die. Now we have 137 days left before the Republic shall fall and we all will die. Less than five months. There's only so much time left to figure out what we were meant to do. But why? Why save the enigmas to keep the human population growing if only to kill us now? If this is only an experiment, and we're only lab rats, then what does our future have in store for us?
