The secrets of the government gets unleashed. Everything is revealed. Everyone is born with a date on this wrist. It could be years away, or it could be extremely soon. Whenever that day may be, it's the day you'll die. But you'll never know when exactly you'll die. The date on your wrist only has the month and day, no year. So once a year, you get to live 24 hours of constant fear. Many people go about that day without a care in the world, trusting fate. Others will barricade themselves up at home for the entire day. Kirishima never thought Bakugou would be one to fear death. Bakugou never thought his date would change.

In the future, overpopulation is a huge issue globally and each country has a different way of dealing with it. In America, a death date is burned onto the back of your wrist when you're born. Illa Edmond has exeeded her date, making her expired. Although, she may not be the only one....

The music faded into the background during dinner. It was Christmas Eve. Clarissa watched as her beautiful child as she ran across the floor being chased by her father. Rosalie was only four and already her big curls were swinging at her hips. Her big sea green eyes looked identical to Eric's. Her nose even resembled his so well that when Clarissa looked at her husband she often called him Rosalie. Eric swooped down and lifted his laughing daughter into the air when they heard a knock on the door. Rosalie immediately quite laughing and looked at me with wondering eyes. "Go to your room Rosalie. Now!" Eric swatted her away. Clarissa followed her.

This book is now officially called "Last Breaths" which was under the previous name called "Used to be us...". I remember reading Him by Pierre A Jeanty and I was truly inspired by it. This inspiration led me to write this book. I mean the world, what if the world ended? Would you be scared, would you be brave? Would you poop your pants? Come on, be honest, would you? In Expiration Date, Carl is experiencing just that... no not pooping his pants, the end of the world. Can he survive? Will he find his family? What will he need to do to survive? Will he poop his pants? Well I guess you'll just have to read the book to find out.
