Eira Winter King thinks she's like every other normal teenager. She's kind, rebellious, and she absolutely hates bullying. People say she's the literal meaning of a angel. She has a beautiful life planed in-front of her as she's in her last year of high school but things change drastically since a car crash she was supposed to die in happened, and secrets from when she wasn't even born come to confront her. Eira is taken away from her family and life, helpless and alone. She thinks her fight is against the icy darkness and isolation but all the cards change as more and more secrets are revealed.

Eira (pronounced Ay-Rah) and her skrill, Elektra have been on their own for a long time. But that doesn't bother them. All they need is each other as they survive in the wilderness. But when Eira runs into a group of young Vikings who also happen to be dragon riders, Eira becomes curious and becomes drawn towards them. Especially the Viking with a nightfury. But, when dragon hunters come looking for her dragon, will Eira trust these new Vikings to ward off the hunters, or will she resort to fighting the only way she knows how, which would have awful consequences.

Eira Ismail is only twenty when she is forced to make one of the biggest decisions of her life. She had imagined her Winter Break home from college would be an uneventful one. In fact, she intended to spend as much of it as she could with her family. Instead, she and her close sister, Zara, somehow become involved with the two sons of their parents' dearest friends. One of them is much like Zara--boisterous, loud, and funny. The other, unlike anyone Eira has ever met. He's nothing like his younger brother or Zara, and definitely nothing like her. While she is clumsy, childish, timid, insecure, and a complete book fanatic, he is mysterious, reserved, and stunningly handsome. Eira admits she may be attracted to him at first, just a little, but nearly not enough to marry him as her and his parents both suddenly reveal she must. Despite her protests, she is forced into the arrangement and becomes a wife, all in the span of what she had supposed would be a laid-back Winter Break. Her concept of marriage is turned inside out and rearranged by this distant guy she must now call her husband, who while he remains civil to her, refuses to admit that he loves or has any feelings for her beyond friendliness. Their journey together as a hastily married couple continues to grow even more tense and complicated when a life-threatening event jeopardizes Eira's health and forces her so-called husband to finally evaluate what he feels for her.

[PROLOG] Eira adalah seorang pria yang bernasib malang karena masalah percintaannya dengan seorang perempuan. Saat itu Eira di temukan tewas di suatu tempat oleh seorang professor, beliau adalah seorang professor yang di usir dari negaranya karena menciptakan sebuah teknologi yang dianggap berbahaya. Sebelumnya, professor menciptakan sebuah manusia robot yang benar benar sempurna, wujudnya yang sulit dibedakankan dengan manusia normal pada umumnyalah yang membuat ciptaannya itu sempurna. Akan tetapi, di dalam kesempurnaanya itu, professor membuat kesalahan yang sangat fatal. Robot yang di design dengan teknologi perang itu tiba tiba melakukan sesuatu diluar kendali, hingga orang orang menyebutnya mesin penghancur. Saat menemukan jasad Eira, professor mendengar tentang kepribadian Eira yang baik dan pantang menyerah dari orang orang. Saat itulah, professor berfikir akan menggunakan jasad Eira untuk membuat manusia robot lagi. Professor berfikir mungkin Eira bisa menebus kesalahan fatalnya dan menghancurkan manusia robot ciptaan professor yang disebut sebut sebagai mesin penghanur itu, meski keberadaannya sekarang belum di ketahui. Setelah beberapa lamanya, professor pun berhasil memciptakan robot Eira. Untuk menyempurnakan robot itu, professor sengaja mengcopy otak Eira berupa sebuah chip yang kemudian di tanamkan kepada robot ciptaannya itu. Professor percaya dengan apa yang dikatakan oleh orang orang tentang Eira, karena itulah professor berniat menghidupkan kembali Eira di dalam tubuh robot ciptaannya itu.
