Following after both TVD 8x16 and TO 4x13 Stefan's heroic sacrifice has let all and everyone be at peace in Mystic Falls; Elena still honours him like the first day they met was only yesterday, but she and Damon parted when they both realised that in their time apart, they were better off that way, anyway. With the Originals scattered and Hope now fitting in well at the Salvatore's boarding school, everything is as it should be, except there's still something that's missing, and no one is sure of what it is. Starting with Elena getting used to her newfound job and relationships she's built with all of her peers and Klaus Mikaelson's daughter, Elena soon realises that the end was only just the 'prologue' to a whole new beginning.

In this story, the sacrifice ritual happens in season 3, resulting in all of the originals dead except Elijah. Instead, Elijah is transformed back into a human. Elena helps Elijah cope with the loss of his family. Elena and Elijah fall in love and move into a house together, and eventually getting married. While in perfect happiness, Elijah is confronted with the possibility of his family returning from the other side to take revenge on him. Will his new life with Elena be destroyed? (This doesn't follow the original story line.)

While Elena is under the sleeping spell that Kai placed upon her, let's see what's happening inside of her mind and what all of her friends are doing without her around. After decades Bonnie will have lived her life and passed on allowing Elena to wake up; young, beautiful and human. Damon will have Elena back, but will she be the one he really wants? Elena is kidnapped by a group of witches from the French Quarter and is tortured by them. They want to use her to get to Elijah and information about the originals. Elijah finds out and becomes murderous. He kills them and takes Elena back to the compound to help heal her. Takes place after season 6 of TVD, no coma and she broke up with Damon. Jo was never attacked by Kai and Elena never took the cure.

Post season 4 finale. Silas is really at the bottom of the quarry(thank god). But what happens when Caroline and Elena learn that Bonnie is dead? And Bonnie is mourning but finds comfort in someone...not very comforting. And when things can't get anymore confusing with the to vampire girls residing in Mystic Falls, two unexpected people arrive. But little does everyone know that the witches on the other side have something planned for them. Something big. Major E/E, KL/C,K/B pairings and slight R/M. Oh and some D/E if you squint really hard.

Elena had a daughter but never told anyone except for Caroline and bonnie. Caroline and bonnie raised the child as their own. Lexi (the daughter) had never met her mother and doesn't know who her father is. Will she find out, and what will happen when people find out the she is the daughter of Elena Gilbert.
