A short story through the mind of a teenage girl. I was told it's relatable. There's always something that should be talked about but everyone tiptoes around instead. But it's there, and we can all feel the pressure. There are a million little things to think about in order to avoid thinking about that one bad thing. It just turns into more and more bad things. Until room needs to be made just to breathe.

Lucy Scott is an independent woman, fresh out of college. She's earned herself a wonderful, paid internship, and she's managed to land herself in what she feels is a happy, comfortable life- despite her lonely childhood with her alcoholic mother. Lucy has everything she needs, but she still wants more. She always has. It's her dream to make it big in the publishing business, and she's willing to do anything to get there. Then she meets Dean the alcoholic cab driver, who- as handsome as he is- has absolutely nothing going for him. She takes it upon herself to show him his true potential, and in the process manages to fall in love. So, when the opportunity of a lifetime comes along, problems arise.
