Suzette has never been the same since her mother died. Her father is a harsh man who cares little for the feelings or desires of Suzette and her brother, and she longs for her mother's guidance as she navigates adulthood. She yearns for approval from her father that she will never get. And, even more, she wants to feel loved. Emeline loves serving Lady Suzette, but she is unsatisfied. She does everything in her power to care for her younger brother and ailing father, but it never seems to be enough. She hates the poor treatment and disgusted looks from those who consider themselves her superiors, and she hates that she must bow and scrape to them simply to provide for her family. There is only one person who never looks at her with contempt, but does he really care for her? As Suzette and Emeline embark on journeys to find what their hearts most want, they may instead find what their hearts most need.

The year is 1375, and Emeline Walter is a 19 year old servant. However, she is a servant in disgrace. A year ago, Emeline had an affair with her master, and it resulted in the birth of her beloved daughter Elvina. But to her dismay, Lord De Markenfield completely ignores her AND the baby Elvina. But deep down, Emeline is sure that he still loves her. What will he do when he finds out she's stolen his diary...

Constantly chasing after the mysterious newcomer who seems to never be where he should be and anywhere where he shouldn't be, Emeline suddenly suspects that he may have something to go with the killings after another six servants are found dead. But the news of a treasure allegedly lost in a mysterious fire may be able to change everything, but whether that change is for the better or the worse is yet to be discovered...

This is non-fiction. Emeline likes Roland but last Friday I almost kissed him. So this idea was from Fiorella and Me. We thought about it and talked about it during Sex-ed with Mrs.Zibell today! So this story is gonna be fake but not the ones that actually happens at our school.

This story is about my life!

NOTE: This is horribly written because I was 15/16 years old and obsessed with the Golden Compass . . . So, in other words . . . Cringe alert! This will be based on the movie a TINY BIT . . . Maybe . . . IDK! Depends, because the full first chapter idea actually came from my dreams recently, then throughout school, I'm always daydreaming (Knowing me) about what they saw, what they do, so on and forth. Before we begin, I do not own the actual movie characters. Like Lyra, Crazy Coulter Woman, Jordan college etc. The only characters I own is what you never heard of in the book (Haven't read it) or in the movie. I will be only posting one chapter at a time!
