I don't live in the U.S., so I know I'm not eligible to win the prize, but honestly, I didn't write this for that. I wrote it because I love this kind of story and couldn't get it out of my head. Wuthering Heights has always stuck with me. This is my take on that feeling, just told in my own way. The earth crunched beneath my feet, the harsh, cold wind biting my face as I ran through the dense forest. It was closing in on me. I could sense it. Its warm breath against the back of my neck, its footsteps thundering through the trees, its feral snarls and snapping jaws. But it was just a dream.
