FANFICTION WARNING
This is a fanfiction based on EPIC: The Musical and Greek mythology. This story is not canon and contains my own interpretation of the characters, their relationships, and events.
Hermes and Circe are portrayed as a fictional romantic pairing. Their relationship in this story is not intended to represent canon mythology or the original work.
Content warning: fantasy violence, death, grief, dark themes, mythology, arguments, emotional distress, and mature relationship themes.
Circe has spent centuries making sure no one gets close enough to hurt her.
Then Hermes arrives.
The god of travellers, thieves, messengers-and apparently the most irritating man ever to step foot on her island.
He should have been nothing more than another passing visitor.
Instead, he keeps coming back.
Every visit begins with an argument. Every argument lasts a little longer than the last. And somewhere between the insults, the magic, and the endless games of trying to outsmart one another, something neither of them expected begins to grow.
Hermes has spent eternity running from one thing to another.
Circe has spent eternity refusing to let anyone stay.
But when the gods begin taking an interest in their relationship, their little game becomes something far more dangerous.
Because Circe knows better than anyone what happens when you give someone your heart.
And Hermes is beginning to realise that, for the first time in his immortal life...
he doesn't want to run.
Gods don't fall for witches.
