Sam lives in a city that seperates gays from straights and where being different is made out to be wrong. She has left the 'Straight' part of the city and has gone to the gay side where she'll spend the rest of her life, like all of the others. When she meets Riley, things change. She realizes things that she never knew about herself, she learns that she doesn't have to be on her own, and that there is a way to mold the two sides together. Sam goes through a lot, everyday is a new horror, but for some reason she keeps trying to do the right thing, who knows what will happen next?

Alexandria Cunning lives in a world where vampires and humans live together in peace because of a treaty. Alex despises vampires, though, and is terrified of them. Her confidence is not boosted when her mother sends her off to the Academy of Equality, a boarding school for vampires only that her father is the superintendent of. Despite her efforts to convince her parents to let her not go, her parents supposedly can't pass up such a 'great' opportunity. Alex is reluctant at first about the school. Will she make friends, enemies, or more?
