At six years old, Eri escaped the Shie Hassaikai only to find that freedom wasn't quite the fairytale she'd hoped for. For nine years, she was kept hidden away, abused and exploited by a man named Yuma Tanaka. Someone who saw her as nothing more than a tool for his pleasure. For nine years, she repressed her quirk, terrified of hurting anyone, until finally, it refused to stay buried any longer. A desperate surge of repressed power finally freed her, leaving Tanaka dead in her wake.
Now fifteen (and very much done being anyone's victim), Eri is a student at U.A., under the watchful eye of Shota Aizawa and Izuku Midoriya, Eri has to learn to control the very ability she spent years trying to bury. Turns out, learning to be a functional human being again might be just as difficult.
Her scars run deep, leaving her with trust issues (especially toward men), a tendency toward very poorly timed humor, and more baggage than she knows what to do with, but her classmate Kota Izumi is determined to break through her walls anyway.
Can she learn to trust the people who care about her? or is she too used to surviving on her own to let anyone in?
