It had been years since Shouta Aizawa had seen his sister - his life led him a different path and he couldn't bare looking back. She had never resented him for it, she smiled and wished him well at every prayer. Shouta had known she'd married a man he had no respect for - Hisashi Midoriya struck him as bad news - but that was as much as he knew. So, when he found out his dear sister had passed, he thought his responsibility was as far as planning her funeral; not becoming the guardian of her child.

Izuku was...quirkless. So it came as a shock when he passed the hero course entrance exam with only a Katana and his wits. Though, not everything is as it appears. When he was diagnosed his father, the notorious villain Dragon, killed his mother. Now the boy must struggle with secrets, abuse, school, and how to take care of himself as he climbs the latter to his dream. Although, the road seems to be paved in black. All he wants is to be a simple underground hero. But life chooses to make him take the painful route.

Two and a half years ago Izuku committed suicide. His body was never recovered but the bridge he jumped from was high and the river deep enough that police figured it had been washed away in the time it took for anyone to realize he was missing. That's what Katsuki had been told. Except none of that can be true since Izuku just burst into the dank, musty, bar that the League of Villains is holding him in. - - - The one where Izuku let everyone believe he was dead for almost three years before the LOV Kidnapped Bakugou Katsuki and he's forced to face his past. He's captured by UA and forced to play babysitter to 20 chaotic teenagers while figuring out his own place.

Katsuki already was aware of Izukus regression. He has known even since the end of first year at UA. Running as fast as he could back to the dorm was a pain. Izukus legs were sore from running around all day on patrol. His back hurt like hell from constantly picking up and placing down large chunks of collapsed buildings. His scarred hands felt tight and cramped, wiggling his fingers occasionally making sure he still felt all 10 of them. AIZAWA FOUND OUT - AND SO DID MIC Aizawa is the first to notice. Deku's flinching. The constant apologies. The way his entire body tenses whenever Bakugo raises his voice. So Aizawa starts investigating. Then he tells Present Mic. Mic thinks Aizawa is exaggerating at first. Until he sees it himself. Bakugo says something cruel to Deku in the hallway, and Mic watches Deku immediately shrink into himself. Mic's smile disappears. "...What did you just say to my kid?" Deku freezes. Aizawa freezes. Bakugo freezes. Because Mic has never called Midoriya "my kid" before. From that point on, Deku has two teachers watching his back. Aizawa is the quiet one: "Midoriya, you're coming with me." Mic is the loud one: "WHO MADE MY BABY SAD?!" Aizawa: "Mic." Mic: "I'M CALM." Aizawa: "You're holding a chair." Mic: "IT'S A VERY CALM CHAIR."

Shota Aizawa, a homeroom teacher, a hero, and more importantly right now, a survivor of the torment that All for One had inflicted over the entire world. In an attempt to resume his hero duties and continue his time as a teacher on the hero course, he must find a way to recover from his injuries. Though it's not that simple: he tries not to admit it, but everything he worked for may be over, and he may be seeing his students graduate from the sidelines as he assumes his role as an assistant teacher on the hero course. Continuing on from season 7 of My Hero Academia, this story falls under the assumption that some key characters that are ambiguously alive survive, and will continue under the assumption that the heroes do in fact beat All for One and other villains.

The League of Villains attacked. By the time the smoke cleared and U.A. counted its students, two names were missing. Katsuki Bakugo. Y/N Aizawa.
