The quintessential novel of the Lost Generation, The Sun Also Rises (Fiesta) is one of Ernest Hemingway's masterpieces and a classic example of his spare but powerful writing style. A poignant look at the disillusionment and angst of the post-World War I generation, the novel introduces two of Hemingway's most unforgettable characters: Jake Barnes and Lady Brett Ashley. The story follows the flamboyant Brett and the hapless Jake as they journey from the wild nightlife of 1920s Paris to the brutal bullfighting rings of Spain with a motley group of expatriates. It is an age of moral bankruptcy, spiritual dissolution, unrealized love, and vanishing illusions. First published in 1926, The Sun Also Rises helped to establish Hemingway as one of the greatest writers of the twentieth century.

В минувшие выходные в Ужгороде при поддержке Министерства Молодежи и Спорта Украины, Управления по делам физической культуры и спорта Одесской Областной Государственной Администрации и Федерации Джундокан Украины состоялся XVIII Чемпионат Украины по годзю-рю каратэ. За право выйти на пьедестал почёта боролись более 600 спортсменов из 16 областей страны. Чемпионат Украины является отборочным турниром к предстоящему Чемпионату Мира. Каждый спортсмен стал лучшим в области и приехал в Ужгород, чтобы войти в состав сборной Украины. По итогу соревнований в общекомандном зачёте места распределились следующим образом: Ø 1-е место -сборная команда Одесской области Ø 2-е место - сборная команда Ровенской области Ø 3-е место - сборная команда Закарпатской области В индивидуальных показателях Чемпионом Украины в возрасте старше 18 лет и в весовой категории 74кг стал известный спортсмен, КМС по годзю-рю каратэ Эрнест Аракелян.
