When she finds out that she has a chance to go back in time and fix the things that have broken her heart, she has to take it. She has one shot to get it right. Will she change history forever? Hello to everyone who has read this story, or is just discovering it. I published/wrote the entirety of it in only six months, (originally released on AO3 & ff.net) but I wanted to make it the best that it could be, so I underwent a huge editing process. It's now finished! Nothing has changed majorly, mostly grammatical fixes and adding more detail, making it almost 5000 words longer. I tried to stay true to canon but also explore something entirely different. I hope you enjoy this alternate version of THG! Happy reading!

When the Quarter Quell announces that she will be forced to repeat the Hunger Games again, she finds comfort in the arms of her star crossed lover, the boy she's turned away from, the boy she's grown to love. But when she finds herself pregnant, Katniss can only wonder how she can get both Peeta and their child out alive, Even if it means her own life.

Katniss Everdeen lives in Chicago with her dad. He owns a restaurant and bar, where Katniss has a part time job. She loves the restaurant and feels safe there. When Katniss's boyfriend, Gale,makes a big mistake over trust, will Katniss find real love in the place she loves most? Or will it all lead to a broken heart that can't be fixed? All over a waiter that has amazing lyrics blue eyes and safe warm arms.

The war is over but Katniss and Peeta are not. They return to the Victors Village, but what happens next?

Katniss Everdeen is know as the bad girl at Panem high. Her boyfriend is Gale Hawthorne. In her group of friends is Annie, Clove, Glimmer, Johanna, Cato, Marvel, Finnick, and Gale. At the start of sophomore year, the president of Panem, President Snow announces that because of the behavior at high schools there will be a patent know as the Hunger Games where 24 kids 1 girl and 1 boy from each of the 12 high schools in Panem, between the ages of 12-18 fight to the death in an arena. What happens when the new kid Peeta Mellark gets chosen for the games? Will Katniss finally realize her true feelings for Peeta? Or will she stick with Gale?

I do have another Hayffie story, if you're interested. It's just not finished yet because I want to write this first. A little everlark included. It's kinda slow burn, I guess.
