What if the events that night left Katniss pregnant and awaiting a fate that could end in a birth in the arena? Those are the what if's I've always asked myself while reading the hunger games series. I think it's time those questions were answered. Katniss Everdeen has found herself in a situation that is a danger to her and the ones she loves. Ever since she pulled out those berries, President Snow has been a looming threat. When the Quarter Quell announces that she will be forced to repeat the Hunger Games again, she finds comfort in the arms of her star crossed lover, the boy she's turned away from, the boy she's grown to love. But when she finds herself pregnant, Katniss can only wonder how she can get both Peeta and their child out alive, Even if it means her own life.

Hi guys, I have decided to right a series of Everlark One Shots. I am also currently writing the Hunger Games series from Peeta Mellark's point of view so I would really appreciate it if you checked that out too. To be honest, I'm not even really sure if these could count as one shots, they're more like a place for me to keep any after Mockingjay ideas. These one shots will just be written whenever something happens to inspire me, there will be no particular time that I upload them or how often I do so may vary. They will also be in no particular order of events, it just depends what I feel like or what pops into my mind. Once I get to writing my after Mockingjay story perhaps I will add some of these into there. But for the mean time, Enjoy! Who doesn't love a bit of Everlark right? Many try to escape, though few make it to my ranks. I know the struggle to escape the cages called districts. I am one of those few, escaping when a mine explosion destroyed an area of fence and left defenses down. And though it cost my father's life, I gladly took the opportunity to leave and aid the others, who lay disorganized in the uncharted forests. That was five years ago. Since then, I have become their very symbol of existence and the one they look to for guidance. I did not ask this, but for the honor of the rebellion, I stand at the helm of their war with Snow. My name is Katniss Everdeen. I am sixteen years old and have seen more than I should at my age. To them I am the Mockingjay. I am their Rebel Queen.

This is a EVERLARK fan fiction of how I see the two star cross lover coming back together. This story begins when Peeta returns to District 12(so before epilogue but after Mockingjay). Katniss is trying to deal with all her losses and is trying to move past them best she can, while Peeta is still trying to manage his episodes from the hijacking. (Has a similar reunion to the Mockingjay Part 2's) Will Peeta and Katniss ever return to each other? Can Peeta get past his nightmares and episodes, and find the love he's always had for Katniss? Will Peeta help Katniss deal with her survivor guilt or possibly make it worse? Will Katniss ever find the words to explain her feelings or will her fears shut her down? Again this is how I would see Katniss's and Peeta's future. I've read a lot of other stories and they helped me picture my own opinion :)

She's a bird, locked in a cage, waiting to be set free. Her unbreakable spirt dims by the day and her true love is nearly as restricted as she to save her. Katniss is under control of the Capital, facing intense tourture every day and not being able to say anything to stop it. She's never felt more crippled than she does now, despizing the way that President Snow brags that he "clipped her wings." She prays everyday that somehow, someway, Peeta will make his way back to her like he promised what seems like years before. Peeta sits in District 13 with the rest of the Refugees, fighting through the red tape and diplomacy that surrounds the the battle ready district. He can't understand why no one has concerns about a pregnant woman being held in the way she is. The videos appearing from the Capital show something's wrong. Katniss would never say those things unless under duress. Othing will stand in his way of Katniss and his daughter. The final book of the Under The Stars Role reversed story.
