Katniss Everdeen is nothing but shattered after her traumatizing past years of life. She forces herself to believe she needs a dandelion in the spring. The one who can mend everything and remind her that things will get better. She tells herself Peeta is perfect for her. Peeta, who has spent what feels like a lifetime putting piece after piece of his life together after it was destroyed by the now extinct Capitol, thinks Katniss is the match for him. However, there's one man who Katniss can't erase from her mind. The fire that she wants in her life deep down. Gale Hawthorne. Gale was once everything to her, but has disappeared from her life now. That is until he comes back, wanting to be that "everything" in her life once more. Will Katniss question the love for Peeta she made herself feel? Will she change her mind on her false decision? And though she's forgiven Gale, how could she ever forget the life changing incident that happened between them which haunts her endlessly?

Katniss likes her life. Loves it, in fact. But somehow, a part of her was still missing.

Gale has volunteered for Peeta Mellark to compete in the 74th annual Hunger Games with Katniss Everdeen after she volunteered for her sister. Katniss is anything except happy about it due to the concern she has for her family left alone at home. Will she be able to abide this and work with him in the games, or will she leave him and fight alone? Does Gale feel something more than best friends for Katniss? Does she feel something more for him? To Katniss, it doesn't matter anymore under their circumstances, but Gale might think a little bit differently . . .

Cinder Mellark didn't know what happened to her mother. She heard whispers as she walked by, talks of birds and whispers of revolution. Everyone seemed to know her name and stared at her wherever she went. Cinder didn't know what happened to her mother, all she knew was that she was gone, and her and her brother Rye were oblivious as to what happened to her. This is Cinder's reality: Her father cries most nights, and spends most days in the empty house next door to theirs. When the world is too much, she writes letters to her mother, in the hope that when she comes back, she can read them and catch up. They trudge to the main square each year, for the reaping. The poor mine coal and starve to death without the bat of an eyelid from the Capitol. There is rubble that surrounds the streets and she doesn't know why. Her father loves her and Rye but she can see he's hurting. He whispers things under his breath. Whispers words like 'Revolution.'

Katniss and Gale enjoy a normal day in the woods. But on their way back they encounter a series of force fields with images from the hunger games in which Katniss became the lone victor. Gale must take care of and comfort Katniss as she slowly falls apart from the emotional trauma of the games. HEY GUYS I HOPE YOU ENJOY!!! THIS IS MY SECOND BOOK PLEASE READ!!!!

She's in District 12 with Peeta, Haymitch, and Gale's mother and siblings. She hasn't even seen Gale or her mom in over eighteen months. But when there's a fire that sets off an explosion in District 4, Katniss leaves 12 to help in 4. But what was the reason for the fire?? Okay sorry, I'm like REALLY bad at making summaries for stories. I hope you'll like the book more than the description, XP. I DO NOT OWN THESE CHARACTERS OR THE SETTING OR WHATEVER ELSE!! THAT WOULD BE SUZANNE COLLINS, THE AMAZING AUTHOR OF THE HUNGER GAMES TRILOGY!!!! Also, there are some of Collins' phrases and stuff like that. There's at least one mention of the book Peeta and Katniss were making in memory of the people who died, or the fact that Haymitch has geese, and other things like that. There will be some of my own made up characters but I couldn't do that without Suzanne having written the book, so... And the cover art (which I personally think is pretty dang awesome) was made by janeviiianueva on Tumblr. All credit goes to her. All I did was put my name on it. lol And honestly, the name for this fic came from that cover art, so shout out to her!! (Don't worry, I got her permission. XD)
