Violet Brengman, captain of her varsity high school hockey team, must leave her life behind and start over after her mother marries her dick boyfriend and forces her to England. When Violet gets there she finds that nobody cares for woman's hockey, unlike her old school, all the girls care about is looking nonchalant on the ice and using it to pass sports credit. Violet gets in a fight with the coach after her first game and he tells her to try out for the all men's team if she thinks she's so good.
