He overhears Javan's plot to change the world order, and make all the supers mundane and vows to stop him, hoping that he can thwart his plans and drink the potion himself to become a more powerful super so that people will respect him and he won't get pushed around anymore. He goes around, making a fool of himself and messing up big time, but along the way he, begins to open his eyes in a sense, and learn more about the world he's in, and himself.
