Welcome to The Yuniverse Preview Room. This is where I'll post sneak peeks, excerpts, teaser scenes, and trailer-style previews from stories I'm working on, planning to release, or thinking about rewriting. Some previews will be from upcoming stories. Some will be from stories already in progress. Some scenes may change before the final version is posted. Fans of The Historian won’t be able to put down this spellbinding literary horror story in which a Columbia professor must use his knowledge of demonic mythology to rescue his daughter from the Underworld. Professor David Ullman is among the world’s leading authorities on demonic literature, with special expertise in Milton’s Paradise Lost. Not that David is a believer—he sees what he teaches as a branch of the imagination and nothing more. Excerpt from my short fiction collection Passage to Heaven. Passage to Heaven (by Jan Clarke) is a haunting short fiction collection that tells the tales of 6 people who are living in darkness. See what it takes for them to see the light and climb out of abuse and addiction.  Drowning is about a man named Eric who is a recovering alcoholic who learns he has breast cancer. This leads him into a downward spiral until he meets a young woman who wants to save his life.

The world was normal until strange apparitions appeared in the sky as cadavers rose up from their graves, bringing the world dangerously close to abrupt and irredeemable changes. °°° This is only an excerpt from The Phantom: Afterlife. There will be no further chapters.

Little secrets grow up to be big lies... They've been best friends since their sons started high school together, and Felicity, Emma and Neve share everything ... or so they thought. When the tight hold they have each kept on their secrets for years begins to slip, they must face the truth. Even if that truth has the power to hurt the ones they love, and each other. Perhaps some secrets weren't made to be kept.

I just wanted to make something that was honest and I hope that someone will perhaps be able to relate to something that I've written. dedicated to the ones who are broken. you can be fixed.

An idea occasionally comes to me; a story, a poem, a scene. However they never seem to have a plot. Ever. These excerpts don't belong in larger work. So here they'll live- little stories I'll probably never complete... stories with no start and no end.
