Truyện đi theo chiều hướng nặng nề buồn bã, làm tôi thẫn thờ chẳng biết đã rơi nước mắt từ lúc nào. Đã được một thời gian, tôi chưa thấy cảm xúc của mình dao động mãnh liệt, bị đè ép nghẹn ngào. Cũng đã được một thời gian, tôi chưa đọc được tác phẩm nào khiến tôi thổn thức khi chỉ đơn giản là nghĩ đến nó, và khó nguôi ngoai. Hôm nay, tôi gặp được. Không nề hà thức khuya, vừa run rẩy vừa viết hết nỗi lòng mình ra cho thỏa.
