She put her hand on my chin and forced me to look into her ocean blue eyes. "You know I care about you Echo. You should know how I feel about you." He's surprisingly kind, frequently sneaks her food, and he at least thinks she can survive and maybe even thrive in the world she's been thrown into.

France mildly points out how similar he is to America in terms of his culture, but Canada, struggling to see the other North American nation's good side at the moment, becomes incredibly worried that France might be right. He comes across a girl on the side of the street on his way home. She's distressed, crying, and wearing nothing but a swimming costume, jeans and a tank top, with a towel wrapped around her, in the freezing Canadian winter. He asks if she needs a place to stay, and desperate, she accepts, and remains close while Canada simultaneously tries to find his identity, and conceal it from his guest.
