Among them are the Mist brothers, Muichiro and Yuichiro, now in middle school, studying in 6th grade. They are famous throughout the country as young chess prodigies. Their intelligence and talent has made them the pride of their school, gaining massive crowds and fame. But their peaceful lives take a turn after Fern Ayasaki transfers to their school. Sharp tongued, arrogant, intimidating and fiercely independent, Fern hates the fame the mist brothers gain and wants to do nothing with them. She prefers to keep away from others and avoid people who irritate her. Unfortunately, fate seems to have different plans. Through a series of circumstances and events, Fern repeatedly crosses paths with Muichiro, Yuichiro and their growing circle of friends. As friendships form and rivalries disappear, strange mysteries start surfacing. Questions and feelings that none can explain.
