Every summer has its fireworks.
Some fade as quickly as they appear-bright, breathtaking, then gone in an instant. But some linger, leaving afterglows that never quite disappear.
Hana Elise Cruz-Yamamoto, a half Filipino-Japanese Fine Arts student, believes in fleeting beauty-the kind you can only capture in a sketch before it vanishes. During her senior year in Tokyo, she meets Rafael "Rafa" Santiago de la Vega, a half Filipino-Spanish exchange student whose life is all about stability, duty, and plans. Their worlds collide one summer night under a sky lit by fireworks, a chance encounter that sparks something neither of them dares to name.
From Japan's summer festivals to Manila's chaotic streets, and all the way to Spain's coastal nights, Hana and Rafa cross paths again and again. Each meeting is marked by unspoken feelings, almost-confessions, and the song that always seems to find them-"Kimi to, HANABI."
As they step from college into the corporate world, both are forced to choose between dreams, family expectations, and the quiet love that's been waiting between them all along. Will their story end like fireworks-brilliant but fleeting-or will they finally hold onto a love worth keeping?
