In 1987, a tragic event occurred at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. A young child's life was taken, and the incident became known as the Bite of '87. It marked the beginning of the end for the once-popular restaurant chain. But what most didn't know was that this was just one chapter in a much darker story-a story that began long before Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria was even built.
Long ago, before the pizzeria, before the animatronics, there was a small, thriving town that harbored a terrible secret. Beneath the town's surface lay the remnants of an ancient temple dedicated to a forgotten deity-a god of chaos and illusions known as the Whispering One. This deity thrived on fear, creating illusions and bending reality to feed off the terror of those who came near its resting place.
The temple was sealed off by a group of priests who managed to trap the god's essence within the earth, ensuring that it would never be released again. For centuries, the temple and its dark influence remained hidden, buried beneath layers of soil and time, until one fateful day in the 1980s when a group of entrepreneurs unknowingly disturbed the resting place of the Whispering One.
In their quest to create the ultimate family entertainment center, they purchased the land above the ancient temple, completely unaware of the horrors it contained. They constructed the first Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, a place designed to bring joy to children and their families. But something went wrong. The animatronics, created to entertain, began to exhibit strange behaviors. Rumors spread of the animatronics moving on their own, of them watching people even when they were powered down.
