This story follows Orchid Lockhearst, a quiet, reserved 15 year old girl from District 11 who is reaped for the 73rd Hunger Games alongside 16 year old Cordo Oligby. She suffers the trauma of leaving behind her family and we follow her story in the Games.. However, her life is turned upside down when her childhood friend, Zach Hosean, a previous resident of the village, is reported missing. Suddenly Francis is plunged into the centre of the investigation. Can Francis solve the murders haunting the village of Graham? To find her childhood friend she will have to revisit the past that pains her so deeply, but will the demons that once tore her life apart come back to life with a vengeance? And what will she uncover about the perfect people of Graham along the way…
