Michael Myers was patiently waiting for the right time to strike down everyone that bothered him while planning to make his escape.

Scarlett and her friends have always spent every fall at a family farmhouse for as long as they can remember up until the year they turned 16. That year was different, but not only because a new comer tagged along. That year was fill with a different type of fear than what they used to always experience. This story functions as a moment Scarlett looks back at that one year where everything happened, now fifteen years later when things finally fully unfold. Note: I wrote this story for a contest where I had to create any story that started with the line "Are you there, God? It's me..." And I had to keep the word limit under 3000 words. I apologize if the ending seems abrupt, but as I said I had to keep this under 3000 words. I may end up adding more later on to fully finish it. I hope you enjoy!

What would you do if you were put in a living nightmare? The one person you thought you loved, that you thought you could trust was somebody completely different than you first expected. Well that's what it's like for me. And the one i love, or at least thought i loved, is making me feel lousy. He's hurting me. I only hope that someone, anyone, maybe even you, can help me out of this while i'm still breathing.

You always know when you are being watched. It's the feeling of when your skin goes cold and when you hear nothing but the loud sound of silence. I try to press down on the nozzle, but the sweat from my hand makes the can slip. The can crashes to the ground in a dull thud, and I wince as it stays intact. The can starts to roll. It seems as if something man made is controlling it. I turn around to grasp for the can, but it is no longer in sight. So I stand alone in the dark alley. Or so I thought.
