As everything around them crumbled to mere existence, Earth's greatest scientists made one last effort to save the world that had been ravaged by climate change and human fault. Gene enhancement. The testing on pregnant women was indubitably dangerous; but what else was there left to try when Earth faces the ineluctable consequences? If there was any chance of volition that this generation could make the difference, it had to be taken. But with no palpable differences at their birth, only time will tell if these children will truly be the key to Earth's salvation. Not only for humanity but also for the place they live in. He believed the Biblical injunction "the truth will set you free," but he hadn't contemplated freedom without Faith. Her mother bequeaths Faith a journal that chronicles the marriage of Faith's parents, Sydney and David Lander. The family secrets revealed offer a path to forgiveness, if Faith can accept that every relationship must conquer hidden obstacles. The rose earrings her father gave her mother on their wedding day become a symbol of unconditional love.

The Order is a group out to find one child. One child that isn't human like the rest, and Cecelia is that child. * * * How special is your life? Cecelia often questioned this in her young life as an orphan. She had no idea what the future could hold, or how it felt to have someone to love. She had planned out what to do, and how to act, but then that changed the day she found it. A camera of some kind, one completely special . . . When I was four, my family moved from Pascagoula, Mississippi to Alaska. Daddy was minister, and he went to Alaska as a missionary. That made me an MK, missionary's kid. This is the story of my experiences from age 4 to 9. Memory is a strange thing. Some of what I remember vividly, my mother said didn't happen the way I remember it. While Mama recently passed and is not around to argue with my interpretation, I apologize ahead of time to my siblings whose memories might vary from mine. While the story is based on my memories, I have added fictional details when my memory of those details fails me. This makes the story more readable. The bulk of the story takes place in Fort Yukon, an Indian village north of the Arctic Circle. While Indian may not be the politically correct term today, it was the word used for native Americans when I was a child and so that is what I will use.

Three women,each struggling with their own personal demons,dying on the inside but perfect smiles on the outside. They meet at an holiday resort and become fast friends,sharing their pain together and trying to find solutions to their problems. Would their friendship last despite having different backgrounds, beliefs and opinions on matters? Can Maria persuade the rest to at least try out her proposed solution? Would the proposed solution work or is it going to be one of the temporary ones?
