But after starting a private high school on a scholarship, she fell face first into an terrifyingly intense depression that threatened to swallow her whole- and to make things worse, she has no goddamn idea where it came from. She's badly bullied, and those old friends are gone now. But Grace has a plan- she's going to kill herself on her fifteenth birthday in three weeks. She's got it all planned out- there was this article she read where a guy committed suicide by drinking drain cleaner, so she'll get drunk on warm, hard booze and do that. Simple, right? Not exactly. A glimpse into the minds of those who suffer from trauma, anxiety and seclusion. It is very important to me that awareness about mental health is spread, thus the reason for this short story. A battle against all the negative aspects of your mind is sometimes the most difficult battle to overcome, and not many people are aware of that. I hope this story sheds some light on what trauma, anxiety that can lead to depression can do to people, and at the end, how to move past the worst.
