"No tea?" I asked seemingly disappointed. "Don't be so disappointed. This is a simple introduction and for all I know you still could be in league with them and therefore a serious threat." "Then I guess I am to feel honored of you acknowledging my presence and actively speaking to me. But again, isn't that a very risky way of treating a suspect?" "Is that a complaint against my treating you? It can always be arranged, you know?" "Oh, I wouldn't dare questioning your behavior towards me" "Especially not, if the behavior in question has been very gentlemanlike and leaves nothing to complain for." "Well, except for the tea, of course. That is not a way of a gentleman treating a lady, you know?" She seems to have everything one wishes for. Her biggest dream has come true: She gets to explore new worlds, worlds that mankind doesn't even know about. But the circumstances leading to that very moment are not as pleasant as one might think. Her entire school has been taken hostage. And she herself is dying: both physically as well as mentally. Can she save her school in her time left on Earth? And: Can she save herself ? Cheers to @Dreaming-Clara for this amazing cover. Check out her profile! Again, thanks a lot!

Since times immemorial the human race has been dragging its feet from the clingy winks of some man-hunting acts and ironically enough, these demons are placed strategically in every nook and cranny of life. There's no time to stop lest we get caught in the gimmicks of these demons and we have our essence laid bare to life's tomfoolery. "The Demons That We Run From" is a powerful anthology that digs deep into "toxins" of life, it exudes a lot of emotion and also tends to nail those dark foes that threaten our sanity. It's a painting of reality and actuality-it's not just a poetry anthology, it's an oracle.

After the shocking death of her best friend, bustling, stressed, and newly sophomore Aspen West finds herself rushing around her small town trying to keep up with the demand; her. Between her 2 jobs, sport, schoolwork, and managerial duties of her High School's football team, she's has no in-between time to even think of how her mental and personal health's doing. To her? It's a good thing. She doesn't have time for tears or mourning or even thinking, let alone over something that's already gone. The best she could do right now is focus and hustle on what's important: maintaining her GPA, becoming QB, washing the boys' jerseys, and making money. That was the goal at least until Rome Aldini forced himself into her demanding life. A story about love and loss; a personal retouch with not only those we remember but those we choose to forget.
