Some people may not know what a Maldivian local may live like. But a Maldivian sure would! This book is about not just one Maldivian's story, but the story of several others. There will be tales of moving from island to island; ferry-rides, walking down unpaved roads, catching crickets, reading books, making friends and spending time with family and learning to pray for the first time as well as other regular and somewhat nostalgic walks down memory lane.

It is not an equal fight in any way, the Palestinians have sticks and stones while the Israelis have mass technology and the backing of many overseas. It is an ethnic cleansing that is being ignored. This poem is simply to raise awareness about the situation and to create some discussion.

الماضي لن يختفي ، سيظهر دائما ان سمحت له او لم تفعل ، سيذكرك دائما بنفسه في كل حين للدهر و الاخر ، سيظهر على شكل شخص ، مكان او اسم ، سيظهر بذكرى تفسد يومك او اسبوعك او شهرك لن يرحمك ابدا لكن إن ظهر على شكل أحداث تقودك إلى الماضي ، أحداث تذكرك بنفسك الضعيفة ، احداث منبعها ليس خطأك ، احداث ستجمع شملك ، احداث صارعت لنسيانها يقولون ان الماضي منصة للقفز لا بل هو جزء منك ، تخلى عنه و ستتخلى عن نفسك ، ماضيك السيء ليس سيء ، لانه هو ما سوى ما انت عليه اليوم من صقلك و هدبك و شحدك
