Sean Gillan's passion lies in his education, his work values as a part-time cashier at the family-owned general store, and helping out his grandparents at a family farm while being a faithful member of his church. He has little time for any frivolous and is certain that all he needs is in his small town of Central Georgia, despite his citified parents and siblings citing that he needs to get a life and get some air in his lungs. Sean has little time for anything other than what he needs, so much so that he lands in the hospital after passing out during his post-graduation party at church. Fearing that he was in danger of burning out and knowing that he wasn't going to survive long if he overworked himself, the whole family decides to ship him off to his gay uncle's home in Newport, Rhode Island so he could attend college there. Sean wants none of it, citing that he's fine with his small-town lifestyle. But once he learns that his grandfather sold the farm, home, and business and that he was to attend college up north instead of trade school in Adams Falls; Sean's fate is sealed. But then he's forced to join his adoptive cousins and uncles for some ice cream and meets two domineering young men fresh out of high school. And they...well, let's just say that they want to show Sean Gillain the TRUE meaning of having passion in his strict life. And maybe Sean doesn't think that moving to Newport would be so bad after all. He'll never know unless he gives it a try.

He taps his foot against the carpeted floor of his therapist's office, wondering if he should say it. If he should even say her name out loud. He hasn't done that in at least a year. He'd never say it; especially not in front of his friends. As the therapist, a middle-aged woman in a grey pantsuit, takes notes on his progress, he clears his throat and decides to speak, "She's coming back from California. Today." She looks up, "Who?" It takes him a while. He has to work up the nerve to say it. "Maddie," he says, picking at his nails. He only mentioned her name once, in his first session last year, but the therapist nods. If you think you are suffering from mental illness, please see your family doctor about a referral to a psychiatrist. ---------- There's silence. It's so quiet you can feel it. The man I love lay next to me, as dull pain flows through me. My thoughts are blank, but still, the heavy weight presses on me. My anxiety is always there. I feel the lump in my throat, the heaviness in my breaths. If you had told me two years ago that I would even have someone I love in a tangible proximity to me, I would laugh nervously. Thinking of where I was then, I can feel a rush of nausea flow from my throat to the pit of my stomach. This is a story about Anxiety. There is more than one type of anxiety disorder. I suffer with five, along with a few other mental disorders. I want to raise awareness on how it feels to have multiple anxiety disorders. This will not be Non-fiction. This story will not be an exact biography on my life, but it will have similarities to past experiences. ---------- Amory Grace isn't a regular girl. She's not about to meet some random guy and fall head over heels for him. She suffers quietly. She's sick, but not in a way you can see. She's got Anxiety. I know what you're thinking. Everyone gets anxious, right? Well this is different. She has multiple anxiety disorders that effect her daily activities. It makes getting out of bed difficult, getting ready and acceptable for the day nearly impossible, and parties? That's not a word in her vocabulary. No, Amory isn't like the average girl you see on the streets, sipping on Starbucks without a care, other than wether that guy from last night will call. This isn't a cheesy romance novel. Caring about Cullen Davis wasn't on her checklist.
