Too good an opportunity to pass up to introduce a character I've been thinking about for a while (Kathryn); Maddy appears in 'Ecstasy of Sister Amata' as a 16-year-old, and Jonquille in 'Come Quietly' (Short Stories 2023).

We can't freeze memories and keep them locked up so we never have to mourn them. We can't do this with people either. I never wanted to let him go. But it seems the good people always get taken away so the people upstairs can surround themselves with goodness first, before the others arrive.

Hazel stops time to deal with a thief. - This is some kind of intro I wrote about something I had an idea about. I'm thinking of writing way more about it at some point, so it's not *really* complete, but it would be another title and all.
