Grim Reapers are meant to escort the dead to the Reincarnation Well, where every soul is stripped of one life and sent into the next reincarnation. Akuji Nhyiren-Osei, Keeper of Death, has spent lifetimes ensuring one woman never reaches the unlucky fate waiting for her there. When the Gods condemn his friend Sairus to an eternity of cursed reincarnations, Akuji begins secretly interfering with the futures the Sisters of Fate have chosen for her. Each interference pushes Sairus farther from the destiny heaven once promised. Sairus was supposed to be the greatest heroine, marry the Crown Prince Yhnobi, and save creation from the Devil God. But Sairus had already chosen someone else. Ravyn, a raven-masked immortal with no past the Gods can find. Then, a deceased woman named Abasa clings to life, refusing to be taken by the Grim Reaper. Before the Grim Reaper claims her, she utters Sairus's name, unveiling a secret Akuji has buried for a lifetime about Ravyn and Sairus. Forgotten lives claw their way back to the surface, and Sairus regains enough memory to comprehend what the Gods have done to her. Akuji sought to grant his friend the liberty to forge her own path. Instead, he may have unwittingly birthed the Villainess destined to obliterate theirs. As Sairus allies with Yhnobi, the Devil God she was once fated to vanquish, their insurrection ignites a movement among the Forgotten People. Now, the Gods demand Akuji rectify his decision and stop Sairus and Yhnobi, who threaten their control over mortals. To save the world, Akuji may have to become Sairus's enemy. To save his friends, he may have to stand beside a Villainess, a Devil God, and Ravyn as they race to the end of the world together. Akuji has spent his existence delivering souls into the hands of the Gods. Now he must decide whether his sacred duty is to protect their world...or help his friends end it so each person can have the free will to choose who they love.

"Please let me go!" She begged, fat tears running down her chubby cheeks. "Why should I? " Alfred said laughing wickedly. He gave his friends a signal and they surrounded her, ready to rip off their own pound of flesh. Aisha, and Luke laughed sinistrally, ready to break her, especially Aisha who was mad that she took Mark away from her and was currently under the influence of a mixture of substances. Luke hated her for rejecting him and blamed her for his father's death. And then there was Alfred, an all round bastard and someone who was willing to start the dirty work that both of them were afraid to start. Lily looked around, why was this happening to her? she never did anything wrong, she was just a sweet sweet girl who was going on a date with her boyfriend. It was their one year anniversary and he wanted to do something special. All was going fine until they showed up and beat him to death. She looked sorrowfully at the only person on this earth that loved her unconditionally. His eyes were open, lifeless and unseeing. He had been hit over the side of his head with a six inch thick metal rod. He convulsed lightly before the light left his eyes and she had screamed running forward and holding his dead body in her arms before she had been dragged raped and then killed. It was a normal day on my way back to home from Choir. Yes, the rain was boring down like always. But something was different. Someone was following me, someone with pearly white teeth and blood red lips. It had lost all its former memory as a devil, (born to feed on human fear) thanks to a blow to the head delivered by me. Year by year, I taught it languages and humans gestures, and it was able to fool others into believing it was no special from an ordinary human being. Little did I know that the story was far from over...
