"A long time ago......The 4 clans, Hollowclan, Hawkclan, Mistclan, and Swampclan lived In peace. Everything was how it should be. Peace, despite the normal border disputes, everything was ok. But that all changed one faithful day when 4 foolish leaders decided to ruin it. There names were Flystar of Hollowclan, Shinestar of Hawkclan, Seastar of Mistclan, and Fuzzystar of Swampclan. The 4 leaders were very brave and courageous.........but they were also very Ambitious and ignorant. They wanted power and wanted more land then what are ancestors in starclan could give. So they assembled under the great tree. They chatted for hours on end. Trying to decide what they should do. Shinestar got the idea of going much farther then what are ancestors gave us. The other leaders were slightly unsure of the she-cats request, but gave in none the less. But first, they wanted to see how there ancestors thought of there amazing idea. Maybe they would give them answers on where each leader could go for more prey and territory. But Starclan was furious on what the leaders have proposed. They told the cats to be grateful for the amount of prey and territory they so generously gave to the cats. But the leaders turned there backs on them telling them they could get so much more. And to just despite them, they ordered there medicine cats to not go to the shining Willow tree to share tongues with there ancestors on the half-moon. And that they'd be leaving then. And that's what they did. They took every cat in there clans to leave. But, before they could even set a paw out of the territory, Starclan struck down on the leaders like bolts of lightning. They took all the lives out of each leader and sentenced them to the dark forest for defying them. Shinestar was the first to die for coming up with idea, then Flystar, Fuzzystar, and then Seastar. The 4 deputies pleaded to be spared, in which they were so the clans would have new better leaders to lead.

This is my first fanfiction EVER, and my first story I'm actually posting, so I'm freaking out right now. TBH, the ranks are embarrassing.

Before the disappearence of 3 of the clans before Goldenstar was born there was a grave secret throughout 2 of the clans

For generations, the forest clans have existed through fights, disagreements, and war in perfect balance, animals existing simultaneously for as long as anyone can remember. But all of that is threatened when a mysterious force begins to seep into the forest, disturbing lives and unsettling all of the forest residents. In these dark times, there are battles, death, and rules are bent to the breaking point in order to keep every animal alive. Rifts spring up between some animals and close between others, the balance teetering on the edge of collapse as Goldenstar, Willow, and the rest of the leaders struggle to keep an ever-slipping hold on order, but as the stakes rise higher and their greatest enemy is revealed, it becomes clear that the rules the animals have lived by don't apply here. The hardships aren't just coming from the dark forces, though, and could be coming from the very animals who are fighting it. The wolf leader Willow is mistrusted because she was the first one to act. The cat leader Goldenstar is held back by her suspicion of the other animals. Goldenstar's best friend is caught between the duty to his clan and the duty to his heart. And every animal is forced to make hard choices between friends and family, Clan and survival, and whether to put their life over others' in the greatest battle for survival the forest has ever seen. Darkstripe looked at the bright sparkling forests of the StarClan hunting grounds. The towering trees and bright shrubbery hid bountiful amounts of prey, scuffling through the undergrowth. The dark tom sighed. His mate was over there...his love...the one she-cat that made him good. The foggy green forest that surrounded Darkstripe seemed to swallow him whole, calling back inside its depths. He stood from his crouch and turned from the beautiful forest he was looking at. But as he began he walk back into his sorrowful surroundings, he glanced over his shoulder one last time. He was determined to get there, to get back to his love. He had made up his mind. That was his greatest wish. And he would do anything in his power to make that wish come true.
