A fan fiction about the Gone Series by Michael Grant. It's 3 years after the FAYZ. Diana is living with Sam and Astrid and the three of them are getting closer to have a regular live. Diana even falls in love again, with someone common, she thinks. Caine's body may be dead, but his soul is alive and still in Perdido Beach, fighting with the small piece of the gaiaphage that is left. He is waiting for his one love Diana. But at some point, after everything went wrong, Diana doesn't want to live anymore. Not without Caine. But they're love requires a lot more than patience and sacrifice. It requires all their years.

They put all their money together, and afford a limousine to drive them to different places in California. First stop: Perdido Beach. But then, quite suddenly as they are exploring in their limousine, the FAYZ wall appears- in the middle of their limo. They have to find a way out of the limousine without hitting the FAYZ wall- which turns out to be a lot harder and excruciatingly painful. And once they do, they find that every single adult in Perdido Beach is gone. Poof. And that madness has really settled in. So they do what they think is best: they run away. They run away to a group of islands.
