Years later, standing at the threshold of a new life, Vansh is forced to choose between his future and the brother who once held him through hell. He chooses wrong. Now, burdened by guilt and regret, Vansh must face the question that will define him forever-can repentance mend what betrayal shattered, or has he lost the devotion of the one person who loved him without condition? Once, Abhijit stood at the edge of an impossible choice-his own life, or his brother's. He did not hesitate. He chose love. He chose sacrifice. He chose to stay. Years later, that same brother becomes the hand that wounds him. Betrayal cuts deeper than any hardship he once endured. Now the question is no longer about sacrifice, but about mercy. Can a heart that gave everything learn to forgive what shattered it? And if forgiveness comes... will the fracture ever truly heal?

"What about me? I have feelings too, you know?" Words can mean a lot to someone, especially when they are repeated. They make you question how you think, how you operate, and most of all, how you see yourself. It makes you wonder how you fit in to this puzzle of the world, and it makes you second guess everything. A single word, can really change how everything revolves around you, when you have nobody to fall back on. At 16 years of age, Thalia has never truly understood what it feels like to be included. Inclusion is not something that people did and immediately thought of her. People looked at her, and decided to walk around her, or to purposely go out of their way to not pick her. Even teachers turned a blind eye on the girl that was truly suffering. People never understood the full weight of their words. Actions were something you could dismiss, but it was the words that hit their target, every time. They hit her in the school hallways, and they took full force when she walked in through the front door of her house. It was a house, something with four walls and people in it, but never a home. Nothing that said people of a family lived there. Those people that made a family, had one of their own. They had a family, that did not extend to the young girl that was their step-sister. They made it clear, they were step-siblings, and not siblings. Growing up, it became 16 against 1. Older sisters are supposed to share their clothes with their younger sisters and prepare them for what was awaiting for them. Older brothers were supposed to protect the younger ones and tease them from time to time. But these people, simply preferred to hold the title, rather than to act. Only one day, that would all change. It would all change, but was it for the better? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Started: 3.10.22 Revised: 17.02.26 Finished:

**Scene Excerpt:** Instinctively, I reached for her, pulled her toward me, wrapped an arm around her back and held her as if that was exactly what I should have been doing all night. Her slight frame fit frighteningly well against my side, her body warm, her breathing uneven. I stroked her back in a steady, soothing rhythm, trying to understand what had happened without pressing her for answers. After a while, she lifted her head and looked at me, her eyes glassy and tired. Then she leaned in, slowly, uncertainly, as if she wanted to kiss me. As a thank you. Or out of desperation. Or maybe both. I gently held her back. "No," I said quietly, barely more than a breath. "Not like this." She blinked, seeming to need a moment to process my words. "I'm sorry," she murmured then, the words heavy on her tongue. "We're just friends. I know." That sentence-my sentence-hit me harder than I had expected. "If tomorrow," I said calmly, resting a hand against her forehead, "if you still want to kiss me when you're not drunk anymore... then do it. Okay?" Without thinking, I pressed a fleeting kiss to her forehead. No calculation. Just instinct. She clung to me tighter, pulling me closer, and I let her. More than that-I enjoyed it. Cara has learned to stay silent. About guilt. About things that can't be undone. And about a past she keeps carefully hidden. Jan believes in order, in rules-and in the idea that life makes sense if you follow them. But on an old estate on the Spanish coast, he meets a girl who quietly, yet irrevocably, begins to shake those convictions. Between horses, sea air, and unspoken truths, a closeness grows-cautious at first, then dangerously honest. Because some stories refuse to be buried. And some feelings demand more than courage.
