Mickey and Ian meet years after breaking up in season 5. Mickey didn't go to prison in season five they only broke up. This story is based around the time of season 9. So Mickey and Ian have been broken up roughly 4 years. Now Mickey has a daughter, Carmen who is one year old at the start of this story. Carmen is what was missing in their lives all along. Carmens mother is not a character in this story but she is very briefly mentioned. Ian Gallagher is an EMT with a dead mother, protective siblings, and an alcoholic father. He spends his time off at the club as a dancer for some extra cash. Micky needs help, even if he's too blind to see it himself, leave it to Ian who's entire goal in life is to help others, trying to make up for the fact he couldn't help his mother.

When you think of south side chicago, two family names come to mind. The Gallagher's...and The Milkovich's. One family is known for the fact their matriarch is a drunk with a drug addiction to boot and the other family is known for causing so many problems their version of a hotel is the local jail cell. This first chapter goes full credit to stubliminalmessaging but the other chapters belong to me, I saw this book and thought it was amazing so I decided to put my own spin onto it, so the first chapter is more like an starter post but the others are mine. An apocalypse, the whole Southside had been cleared out, no signs of life anywhere. The number of survivors are low and the food supply is running out. Humans turning on each other like wild animals. Ian Gallagher a Lone surviver finds an abandoned gun shop on the opposite street and hides out there to find he's not alone. *WARNING* Mentions of gore, smut and cannibalism
