For Karl and Vlad, the sem break of 2018 was like a movie, but the credits have rolled and the movie's over. What happens next? This is a sequel to the 2020 web series Gaya sa Pelikula(Like in the Movies), continuing the story that many fans hoped to see more of. As such, it is also dedicated to everyone who loved the series and these characters. More importantly, this is my love letter to Karl and Vlad, who changed my life. Here's to them.

Inspired to create a fan fiction of Juan Miguel Severo's work Gaya sa Pelikula (Like in the Movies), with a twist and elements from works of national treasures like Jose Rizal and Nick Joaquin.

What do you do when a shrieky girl is chasing you although you're into guys? What do you do when the stinky boy who's been sitting next to you for a year turns out to be an attractive, sexy young man? What do you do when you notice there's a ghost in your house? What do you do when another lockdown is announced and you don't want to spend weeks and weeks all alone? What do you do when your uncle's boyfriend is so damn hot? Well, sometimes you have choices, sometimes you don't. I'd like to thank JP for his time and patience he invested in editing my story and correcting my stupid mistakes.

Two young Filipino boys both from broken families always had their fates converge especially when the musician-at-heart smart guy, Sean, moved in next door to the rowdy, sports-maniac, Leo. Even at the young age of 12, both boys knew that they would be each other's best friends- and even possibly be non-kin brothers. Now 18, Leo's mother had decided to leave the Philippines and work abroad as a nurse. With this decision, Sean and his mom offered Leo a place to stay. Thus, both of them now share the same room, the same meals, and even go to the same school. With totally opposite personalities, it's always a spectacle to see the two jive well together. It was the year 2014 and both wished to be best friends forever... not until they realize the feelings they have for each other.

One-week post #GayaSaPelikula and I terribly miss #PangPang. Publishing some prompts left in my draft to ease the loneliness. The first one is inspired by that one Facebook live guesting wherein the other half of PangPang wasn't supposed to make it but he did. This is my way of clowning in my own thoughts. "Wherever Souls Fly - Luke's Story" is another spin-off of my book "Choices". As the title says, it tells Luke's story. For those of you who haven't read "Choices", let me just say that Shay, the protagonist of the book, meets Luke on a tropical island after entering a mysterious shop called "Your Choice". Luke shows him his true self, i.e. that he is gay and much more courageous than he thought. After this experience, back in the real world, Shay falls for his classmate Freddy and invites him and two more friends to spend the Covid lockdown in his house. Whenever Shay and his friends run into a problem, Luke rushes to their aid, and especially in the follow-up volume, "More Choices", which will be published here at wattpad some time later this year, he repeatedly warns them of imminent danger. If you want to know what Luke looks like, and what kind of person he is, I would advise you to read the opening chapters of "Choices". You may also take a look at the Filipino BL-series "Gaya Sa Pelikula", because Luke looks like an identical twin of Vlad, one of the lead characters of that show. That's all you need to know for now. Thankful for the opportunity to take part in the story and become a better ally for our LGBTQIA+ community. New place, no parents hovering, no expectations breathing down his neck. He keeps telling himself kaya niya mag isa, even when the silence at night feels too loud and the bills start stacking up on the table. He tries to make money writing about movies he loves. No replies. No luck. Just anxiety sitting in the background of everything he does. Then one night, a guy literally breaks into his apartment to hide. His name is Vlad. He's reckless, blunt, and shows up like a problem Karl does not have the energy to deal with. This is a story about growing up when you don't feel ready, about pretending until the pretending starts to crack, and about the quiet fear of saying something true out loud. It's about love that sneaks up on you, not dramatic, not perfect, just real. And sometimes, the hardest thing isn't falling for someone. It's finding the courage to finally say who you are.
