After finishing her college journey, Ava returns home. For her, home happens to be a high tech island city, and her uncle has offered her a job working with him on drones. It's not long before she runs into her high-school boyfriend, Lee. There's still sparks between the two, but they sputter when she finds out he's accepted a job on an environmental outpost miles offshore. When Ava discovers an earthquake is headed for the island, she must figure out how to harness the drone's predictive weather pattern technology to save her home - and Lee - from certain disaster.
