Skylar is just a regular boy - until his mother signed him up as a participant for Riley's master thesis project. What starts as a reluctant promise quickly turns into a daring journey beyond his comfort zone. From painted nails to pink tops, from shopping trips to pleated skirts, Skylar is pushed to question everything he thought he knew about being a boy. At first, it's embarrassing. Then confusing. Then... strangely exciting. With each diary entry, Skylar uncovers parts of himself he never dared to explore. Is it just clothes-or something deeper shifting inside him? Riley insists it's about breaking barriers, not changing who he is. But when the mirror starts reflecting a version of himself he can't ignore, Skylar must decide what that means. Caught between fear, curiosity, and unexpected joy, his world begins to blur. This is a story about identity, courage, and discovering that sometimes the scariest step is simply being yourself.

In a world where people are born with an elemental power, most are just the normal four but the rare ones have powers that are not just powerful but otherworldly. Some are bad some are good, but all are different for each and every person making the traits harder to categorize. A person named Avery was born to the worst and best element. Pure gold. People with this incredibly rare element are typically very greedy and narcissistic individuals who look down on others. Avery however, did not. His best friend Sebastian had the element oxygen and although Sebastian wasn't the best swimmer, he could breathe underwater. Oftentimes Avery was jealous of Sebastian's power. Jealously. that was the thing that fuels the terrible souls of pure gold elementals. See, pour gold elementals are not born bad, but anger, jealousy, and bad feelings in general can lead up to the bad side. Avery knew this, so he tried to calm himself every time. And it usually worked. But sometimes it was out of their control. "Why was I born with this terrible element!" He would say. Ironically, Sebastian was jealous of Avery. He said with almost the same words, "damn it! He's so lucky! I have such a useless element!"

Blood. Dreams. Desire. Things never turn out as planned. Fai did not ask to be turned. He did not ask to be saved. And he certainly did not ask to become a 'hunter.' In fact, he would love nothing more than to get off this strange world, where his fair skin and golden hair make him appear as something he is not, bringing on confusing feelings, shaking his resolve... But they are stuck. Stuck in a dying world with an old curse upon it, stuck with one another as reluctant hunter and willing prey, stuck with that unfinished conversation hanging between them, constricting their throats. An impasse. Unless, something happens to tip the balance. As the heroes search for yet another "feather", one of Princess Sakura's memories scattered across the worlds, they encounter a society wildly different from anything they've known so far. Strangers in this strange land, they will be forced to reconsider everything they know about who they are, what they want, and what they are willing to do to get it. ___________________________ This story is set in the world of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, taking place sometime after the Tokyo Revelations arc but before Spring Thunder, and diverging dramatically into a totally new adventure. No prior familiarity with the manga/ anime is required. All Tsubasa characters and backstory belong to CLAMP, the rest is my wild invention. The title, and the opening scenes, are inspired by the eponymous Florence + the Machine song. 2019 update: All my writing is on a bit of a hiatus, but I've plans to come back and finish this, probably within the next year. It's been a long time in progress, but I never stopped thinking about it! I hope readers can bear with me.
