A Fictional Memoir of the tradition of a woman playing Peter Pan, which helped me think through my Gender. This NeuroQueer Retellung is appropriate for readers 10 and up, because kids have the RIGHT to read Queer Literature! Since an "Actress" is assumed to be a woman, and Peter Pan is a boy, there is Misgendering in this fanfiction. It was in the tags, but I want to put a clear Trigger Waning. Also, Trigger Warning for the racial slur that calls Indigenous People "Red." I have thoughts... Credit for the Fairy Genders goes to J.M. Barrie My portrayal of Tiger Lily is Anti-Colonial Through a Disability Justice lens. To Sondra Lee, who played Tiger Lily, and saved my life To Lerisssa Fasthorse, who justly restored my lost dignity To Adolph Green, who taught me what makes a monter and what makes a man, is complicated To Jerome Robbins, who challenged my intellect and morality And of course to Mary Martin, who taught me about the "Unusal things you can do"

Alex Marlowe has never understood why everyone else needs them to choose. Boy. Girl. One or the other. As if seventeen years of being Alex can somehow be reduced to whichever body looks back from the mirror that morning. Alex can physically shift between male and female forms at will. Both are real. Both are theirs. And unfortunately, everyone seems to have an opinion about what that means. Then Jamie Calder crashes into them. Literally. There is coffee involved. Jamie is new, chaotic, incapable of shutting up, and apparently determined to become Alex's problem. He asks stupid questions. Makes worse jokes. Steals Alex's clothes. And somehow becomes the first person in a very long time who doesn't seem interested in deciding which Alex he likes better. Because to Jamie, there has only ever been one. What begins as an inconvenient collision becomes friendship. Friendship becomes something considerably more dangerous. And Alex is about to discover that being truly known doesn't always mean being asked to choose. Sometimes, someone simply looks at you and says: There you are.

in a world that never asked for her softness, Justin writes herself into existence. Soft Places is a tender, emotionally rich coming-of-age story about a trans girl navigating family, identity, and the quiet rebellion of being real. When Justin creates Aoki-a digital avatar born in a world of plush forests and pixelated moonlight-she begins to uncover the truth she's never spoken aloud. Through late-night chats with her sister, silent stares from her brother, and the quiet ache of being unseen, Justin finds courage in storytelling. But when her story escapes the drawer and finds its way into the world, everything begins to shift. This is a story about softness as survival. About the power of being known. About building a sanctuary online and off where truth can sparkle. 💜 For anyone who's ever felt invisible. For anyone who's ever dreamed of being found.

Gianni runs a local bar affectionately known to New York's finest who occupy the precinct across from it as the Watering Hole. When he inherited it from old man Davey, it seemed appropriate to officially register the business as the Watering Hole. There's a radio that's always tuned to the police scanner just in case because even on duty cops have to eat. The Watering Hole's clientele are as choosy as it's owner. So come have a pint or a cocktail or two. Just don't expect a wine list. We only import ales here. Quench your thirst, drown your woes, but leave your worries at the door. Don't forget to take them on your way out. If you should slip and whisper your secrets, don't worry, the bartender and the walls have plenty secrets of their own that no one has discovered yet. Welcome to the Watering Hole. We got drinks, food, and a few things that aren't even on the menu.

Isabel is a seemingly normal girl with a seemingly normal life. She goes to private school and wears the girls' uniform. She wears her blonde hair in two pigtails, the way her mother likes to style it. She has a nice group of friends that are girls. But inside Isabel is a confused girl, or boy, or... something. Inside, Isabel wants to wear the boys' uniform. She wants to cut her hair short. She wants friends that are boys too. Her parents are oblivious to it. And her friends don't know what to call it. Is just a tomboy? It she transgender? Transsexual? The Internet gives even more words: genderfluid, genderqueer, gender neutral, pangender, the list goes on. Isabel just wants to know what he/she/they really is.
