why can't they fucking See what they do to You? why can't they Respect You? we want to live in a world in which we can use pronouns like "we" and "us" when talking about everyone and be proud of it, but we find it critical to make it clear to You that we am not with them, and they are not with us. we are not with the people who think they can make fun of You, that can ridicule You, that can Kill You. why do they hurt You? they hurt You and expect for You to not hurt back? You use a false bill and get killed, they shoot schools and get hand cuffed? the distinction is LOUD. the privilege is OBVIOUS. we love You, but they don't. they hate You and hating You is hating themselves, because they are here because of You. hatred stems from people who don't see themselves, so how can they see You. We cry with You, We mourn with You, We are mad with You, We fight with You. We will never understand what You go through, but We will always be here for each other. FUCK THEM.

This is a safe place to talk about the movement, starting with my opinion on the situation. Remember: I'm not saying only black lives matter, but they are in deep need rn. That's why we should support especially them at the moment. They've been harrassed and murdered and that's not ok! SPEAK UP! RAISE YOUR VOICE! BE KIND!

The children of 2025 were very lucky not to witness the incidents that we had 5 years ago. We had a violent war all across the nation, which just cried out "World War III is coming!" The protests were so violent, we might've killed the protesters. It was a war zone, especially in New York City. We were just relaxing, playing some video games on our Xbox when suddenly, I hear yelling near my apartment building. There was fire nearby, and it attracted almost everyone in our apartment. We rushed downstairs only to see people looting and burning the city down...

If you need a way to inform people quickly about the injustice in this world that's happening and what we're protesting for, give them a link to this story.

Poetry and prose reflecting the reality of life - from the murder of George Floyd to the brutal killing of Ejaz Choudry in Canada, the power imbalances in life create horrific nightmares for individuals, families and communities. My poems and prose reflect the raw emotions in these scenarios but also give a sense of hope in ultimate justice. They seek to shed light on some of the fundamental values we hold as human beings. As a Muslim I believe these values are universal - shared by everyone. I will try to add poems and short prose on a monthly basis or as the need arises. Enjoy and share. ~ Farhad

This a #Poem I wrote about how the pandemic has affected our lives now, and the anxiety I feel when I hear someone coughing, even a little bit. These are feelings I am sure we all share, and I wanted to capture them to the rhythm of a heartbeat. The last line captures both the struggle to breathe by victims of the coronavirus, and the struggle to attain equality for people of colour which was highlighted by the pandemic.
