Mortal AU - Nico di Angelo in Gotham *** *** *** Nico knew two things growing up in Gotham. Batman's team wasn't as good as you might think. And the Red Hood was a lot better than you might think. Well, that and to avoid the cops and Wayne family, but that was just common knowledge. So when he finds out a close friend of his is the Red Hood, he doesn't know what to think. When he finds out that the Batfamily and Wayne family alike are harassing him, he knows exactly what to think.

At the end of the battle with Gaea, right after Octavian shoots himself at the Earth Mother, Nico realizes his mistake. He realizes that he just allowed Leo to be shot down. He realized he was about to get one of the seven killed. In a desperate attempt to save him and possibly not be hated, he manages to knock Leo off of his flight path and into the ocean. But at the last moment before he crashes as well he's pulled into the shadows. After that all he can remember is pain, he wakes up in a hospital in Gotham city with people crowding him, a billionaire trying to play hero and take care of him, and people constantly asking him questions. Questions that should be easy to answer, right? Damian and Danyal al Ghul have always been connected. That connection should've broken when Damian returned to Nanda Parbat and Danyal didn't, because death is the end, isn't it? - Danny Fenton used to be an al Ghul. Will was Nico's first real friend. Yet, Nico still fell for Will. He knew it. And he hated it. Will was beautiful. Shining like gold in the afternoon sun. And Nico was barely human. He hated to let Solace be his touchy self, to banter cheerily and often annoyingly with him but he couldn't do anything about it. He watched Will work, smiling at his dedication, his unbridled passion for the things he loves. It was endearing in a way. It would be more difficult not to love him, to love the way he loved. But Nico knew he was grasping for a fools dream.

After Annabeth's death in Tartarus, Percy wanted nothing more than to join her. But he knew he couldn't do that, not when the fate of the world and the survival of all of his remaining friends and family rested squarely on his shoulders. So he came up with a plan: a plan that would solve all of his problems and finally allow him to rest in peace and start over again without the torture of his past hanging over his head. It was a plan that, just for the record, worked perfectly. Gaea was gone, and he was dead. Everything was fine. And then he woke up. After all, no plan he could ever create would account for Leo shooting him with a dart gun filled with a potion capable of bringing people back from the dead. So he's alive again, and he wants nothing more than to be allowed to just die. Why was that so hard for everybody? His cousins understand. Come to think of it, they probably understand a bit too much to be considered completely mentally healthy. But who's completely sane nowadays anyway? He certainly wasn't. Percy knew the gods wouldn't allow their saviour to escape immortality for a second time, so he made a deal. A deal that made doing the laundry very, very difficult. And a deal, that just so happened to catch the attention of the wrong sort of government.

Nico's past comes back to haunt him when old foes from his time in Tartarus threaten his one solace in his life. Will and Nico are faced against the wrath of two angry gods who will hold Will's life in their hands...but Will's essence is needed for a ritual that wouldn't have happened if Nico hadn't angered the god of pain. Will the two survive, or will they both be shattered in the depths of the Underworld while Will's time is coming to an end?
