"Emma!" Rings from outside. Rays of sun dance through the flowing curtains of the window and lay across the stained tiles of the kitchen. "Emmaaa!!" It gets closer. A small skinny boy runs in from the back door covered in mud. His facial features are blurry to me but his smile is big, bright, and clear. I squint but still can't make out his features into a recognizable face, yet I still know who that smile belongs to. "Manny! How did you manage that?" I huff out a laugh and set down my paint brush at the base of the easel propped in front of me. The canvas is covered in beautiful blues and yellows pieced together in a portrait of a middle aged woman with a face hard to make out but eyes identical to mine. As I step closer his face gets blurrier. I kneel in front of him, getting to his level face to face when suddenly his uneven features start to bleed. I blink and reach for his face only to be met with my hands filling with his shredded flesh and the heat of his blood pouring through my fingers. It drips and pools onto the once beautifully sun adorned tiles.

After the farm falls, the world becomes colder and far less forgiving, forcing Phoebe and Milo to step out of the shadows and into their own power. Phoebe grows more strategic and fearless with her crossbow, no longer just the quiet thinker but a leader in her own right, while Milo's relentless training turns him into someone even the living should fear. Lilly Dalton has been through a lot since the apocalypse started. Lots of death as well as many near death experiences, most because of crazy people that her group has come across. However, none of this could have prepared her for this new world that she has entered.

When her brother's best friend got shot, Jamie's world tilted. She stayed strong for Carl and Lori, she stayed strong for her brother and friends. Rick was recovering, he was. But then they bombed the city. The dead were walking, overtaking the city and Rick Grimes lived. "You're so much like him." "Why's that so bad? He's my... he was my brother." "I know. But it scares me."

I do own Maddie and her story- (this fic is innocent and contains no smut or anything, I purely wrote it because tbh I'm kinda envious of the relationship Lydia/Judith and Negan have, it's like he's their guardian or smthn and it's cute af so I thought I'd give it a go :)) Enjoy! Quiet. That's the best way to describe my life at this moment... Unimaginably and eerily quiet except from of course the gargled slurs and moans of the dead but no actual formation of words. Sometimes I sing, they're only tiny lullabies or dishevelled top hits from before the world now but they are songs all the same. The last time I'd seen survivors must've been over a few months ago, but at the very beginning I found a group. Only small, consisted of a few women a kid, a few other guys and two cops. I left them some time ago, well I didn't leave... I saw something I shouldn't have that's when one of the cops got rid of me... Tried to make it seem like I'd been killed. I hadn't of course, otherwise I wouldn't be sat outside of an old Shell gas station eating a cold tin of beans right now. I miss having company, not the part where you talk but the part where you sit and become grateful for each others presence. That bit was nice. I've been on my own for a long time, I carry what I can and leave what I don't need. Every place I find and scavenge I weigh up the pros and cons of what to take and what not to. I always carry with me a couple of knives, two guns, I don't like to use them though because there's a high chance it'll draw more dead closer to me. Which is what I don't get the dead are dead... Their brains ain't working so how can they hear a gunshot a couple of kilometres away? I don't know. I've thought of a lot of questions but there ain't nobody to answer them. Anyway I'm getting off track, I'm Maddie.

Janessa Dixon has been hiding out in a department store in Atlanta. That is till a group comes barging in the store.
