[Male Reader x Marvel] Being a hero is a hard task, and not because of tough enemies, or the threat of death, but because it was about making a choice, a choice to take responsibility into one's own hands, and strike out for what they believed was right. In a world filled with far-out aliens and hellish demons, killer androids and super-powered maniacs, being a hero was even harder. From a young age, [Y/N] always had a keen understanding about what he believed was right and wrong, that people who hurt others for money and fame or out of sadistic enjoyment deserved punishment, that justice was necessary, and without it everything would fall apart. The death of his mother by the hands of some rogue gunman only solidified his resentment towards those he considered to be the scum of society. He had always wanted to be a hero, like Captain America or the Human Torch, from the comics he had always read, front to back. Men who held the power to change the world for the better, and weren't afraid to do what was right, despite what obstacles laid ahead of him. However, unlike his heroes, he held no superpower to help him on his path, no super-strength or speed, hardened skin or flaming skull, setting the rookie vigilante up for a bitter struggle. And yet, on a day that would have appeared just like any other, upon the seemingly unimportant bite from a strange, discoloured spider. On a less-than-interesting field trip, he would be granted the powers needed to fight for his convictions. the ability to now truly make those who hurt others pay for their actions. He made a promise as a child that he would make the world a better place, a world where people like his mother wouldn't have had to die, and he intended to follow through on that promise to the very end...

A thousand years ago, they were their saviors. Today, they are nothing more than a bedtime story used to frighten disobedient children. The denizens of Etrea-powerful and breathtaking-have faded into oblivion, leaving behind only echoes of legends: tales of beings with platinum hair and deep purple eyes. But as the world of Etrea began to wither, a final hope was cast unto the realm where they were once worshipped-the world of men. Nolan has no memory of where he came from. Found as an infant, he was raised in the shadow of the lash, amidst the filth and hatred of a cruel Baroness's estate. To the people around him, he was nothing but a 'monster'-a half-breed whose face was partially masked by black, obsidian scales. He had no way of knowing that these scales were not a curse, but a powerful seal placed by his mother to shroud his divine heritage from a world that would see him destroyed. In a world where everyone is born gifted with a combat class and the spark of magic, Nolan appears empty. Devoid of any visible talent, he endures every humiliation in silence. The only light in his darkness is Lili-a girl for whom he is willing to suffer any depth of pain. Everything changes on the day a mysterious Marquis appears at the execution square. Rescued from the hands of his tormentors, Nolan is thrust into a world of grand politics, lethal intrigue, and murderous training. With every passing year, with every drop of sweat and blood spilled, the seal begins to crack. One by one, the black scales fall away, revealing an unearthly visage, while the power of two worlds awakens in his veins-a force the likes of which this globe has not seen for a millennium. Nolan must master the beast slumbering within him before the world learns of his existence. For when the Great War arrives, no one will ask about his scars. They will ask whether the god who has returned brings salvation... or total annihilation. Betrayal. Revenge. Legacy. The path to godhood begins with blood.

But the zombies and Lickers are the least of his concerns. The Marker's signal has followed him, manifesting as the haunting, silver-tongued specter of Nicole Brennan, who whispers that he is merely trading one grave for another. His path intersects with Claire Redfield, a woman searching for her brother but finding a man from a future she can't comprehend. As they navigate the RPD, the sewers, and the depths of Umbrella's NEST lab, Isaac's high-tech dismemberment tactics and stasis modules become their greatest hope for survival. Amidst the relentless pursuit of the Tyrant and the grotesque mutations of William Birkin, a slow-burn connection forms between the haunted engineer and the defiant survivor. To save Claire-and his own sanity-Isaac must decide if he can truly "make us whole," or if the shadows of his past will consume the only future he has left.

But Hunter's heightened senses are screaming-there is a scent of ozone and cold durasteel in the air that doesn't belong. Trilla Suduri was supposed to be dead. Resurrected by a rogue Imperial ISB Director and rebuilt with agonizing cybernetics, the former Second Sister is now "Unit 7"-a mindless weapon designed to hunt down the galaxy's remaining anomalies. But as she stalks Clone Force 99 through the sea caves of Pabu, the neural inhibitors can't fully drown out the screams of her past-or the strange, grounding pull of the sergeant with the tattooed face. When the predator becomes the captive, a dangerous game of trust begins. Hunter sees beyond the Inquisitor's mask to the shattered woman beneath, while Trilla finds in Hunter a reflection of her own "defectiveness." As the Empire closes in to reclaim its property, two broken shadows must decide: will they remain weapons of a dead war, or can they find wholeness in the ruins of each other?
